Manali is among the most gorgeous hill towns in India. This town has lush green valleys, glades and mountain peaks that are simply to die for. It is indeed a tranquil environment that makes any holiday stay amazingly rewarding. Among the things that attract travelers to this town are the Buddhist monasteries and Hindu temples whose work of architecture is charming. Some of these amazing temples are Manu Temple, Hadimba, Maa Sharvari, Himalayan Nyingmapa Gompa and Arjun Gufa temples.

Apart from the beautiful temples, Manali has other attractions near it. I definitely would advise a view of Solang Valley that is just a few kilometers away. It has plenty to offer, including exciting activities like horse riding, Paragliding, parachuting and zorbing. Also near Manali is Rohtang Pass, which divides the Kullu valley and Lahaul Spiti mountain. In Manali anything goes, you can enjoy coax trekking, mountain biking and skiing.

Accommodation here is simply comfortable. The options are numerous, but I love the cottages located here. This is because they make some of the best facilities for people who wish to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of Manali just like me. With their balconies, and backyards, it has always been easy for me to enjoy and appreciate this beautiful magical town. For those who wish to try other types of accommodation around my favorite cottages, this hill town offers Homestays, holiday homes and other vacation rentals to match individual preferences.

The cottages

The cottages in Manali are sized differently. I enjoy the 2 bedroom cottages when here, but it is also possible to find huge cottages with as many as 8 bedrooms. The good thing about the cottages is that they are offered at very competitive rates so it is easy for me to find something I can afford and enjoy every time I choose to stay in the hill town. Some of the most popular cottages worth trying in this location are the 5 room Gaur Sona cottage, 12 room 6th Element cottage and the stunning Country Cottage. I noticed that the cottages here are well-furnished, feature modern amenities and are quite spacious to make stays as cozy and comfortable as possible. Other cottages in Manali worth the mention are Matrichhaya. Rashpa, Apna, Sunrise cottage, Sylvan and Ancoram cottages.

Apart from being in a position to select a cottage according to its beauty or amenities that it has to offer, I found it interesting that it is possible to select cottages according to locations one is interested in exploring in Manali. There are for instance very good cottages with splendid views near Central Bus Depot, Shuru, Ghaderni and Kanyal Road. I find it very convenient to stay in a cottage that gives me easy access to the attractions and sites I am interested in and since paying attention to location does narrow down my search for the best. Manali cottages are all very beautiful and comfortable since they can make any stay most memorable.

Cementing Consumer Relationships – The Need of the Hour in the Hospitality Industry

All industries around the world are undergoing a lot of change, and the hospitality industry is not immune to it. All industries around the world are undergoing a lot of change, and the hospitality industry is not immune to it. Continuous technological innovation plays a major role, since it allows consumers to access information about any service or establishment within a matter of minutes. Then there is social media, which, not only permeates every industry, but also has the power to change trends and shape the future.

It is no surprise, then, that consumer expectations have also increased. Gone are the days where advertising was taken at face value. We no longer have to resort to dated practices designed to collect only leads, enquiries, or hits. Today, the focus is on consumer retention and building loyalty.

The hospitality industry, especially, thrives on this approach. After all, is not customer service everything here? Reputations hinge on popular perception, goodwill, and word of mouth. The hotel experience can be tarnished irreparably if it gets even the tiniest detail wrong about its guests, who are not averse to using social media to voice their grudges.

CRM (Customer Relationship Management) hinges on the belief that building a consistent, sustainable user base is far more valuable for the business than indulging in fickle marketing practices. It also takes into account three key things in its more comprehensive form: People, processes, and technology. As the industry thrives on segmentation and uniqueness, the 'persona' of the hotel can only be as distinct as their consumer relationships enabling them to be.

This becomes even more relevant when you consider the cutthroat competition in the hospitality industry. Unless you put customer relationship at the center of all your planning and strategizing, you'll find your audience striking your brand off their list. Then, there are other factors, like growing customer-acquisition costs, rising customer expectations, price-sensitive travelers, more sophisticated clients, an uncertainty market, and decreasing brand loyalty – all of which make Consumer Relationships a focus area.

Good CRM and Solid Identity

To enhance customer relationships, you need to first start working at the base, which is your brand identity. If your brand comes across as vague or undefined, your consumers are unintentionally to listen to what you have to say in the first place. Your identity should be partly eternal (core values, long term mission and so on), but it should also adapt according to context.

For example, millennials look for a brand that effectively uses current trends in their advertising, or a brand that is socially aware and takes steps in that direction when their services are used. They look for services that are enabled by technology and a wide range of interfaces. In this environment, if you appear traditional and antiquated, you may be falling grossly short of their expectations.

Identifying your core demographic is primary. Then, you need to create a story and tonality for the brand itself, so that you can mold a concrete identity. This needs to align with your core values and company culture, because the way you treat your own employees reflects very much on the kind of service they provide to the consumers. From then on, creating a healthy buzz about your brand on social media, keeping your audience updated about the latest in your hotel, encouraging reviewers, and addressing their concerns will become more seamless.

Happy Employees and Work Culture

The hospitality industry needs to stress on employee happiness to improve consumer relationships. If your staff and other employees treat treatment as a chore, or are driven only by fear and authority, they are seriously going to treat guests with warmth and exuberance.

Hotels are also engaging in trait-based hiring, rather than simply relying on technical skills. What this means is that you need to hunt for people who find incentive value in being hospitable to others. Personalities are harder to acquire, technical skills not so much.

For example, take the whole process of checking in. The 'service' aspect is simple enough. The guest comes in, is asked for his / her ID, and then their keys are handed to them. Now, in this scenario, the receptionist can rattle off all those scripted lines that they've picked up during training, but their demeanor, mannerism, the genuineness with which they interact with the guest matters a lot. This is where their innate character of being warm and friendly shines through.

An unhappy employee with a script can be damaging. Consumers are extremely smart and savvy these days and can smell fake hospitality a mile off. If your staff provides only scripted service, your guests will be put off. To set yourself apart from other establishments out there, train your employees to understand the value of emotion, warmth, and caretaking.

But this can not be achieved if they themselves are working in a stifling work environment. So, do not forget to nurture your employees with the same warmth and consideration that you'd want them to extend to the guests in the hotel.

Technological Help

Fostering a good relationship with your consumers means that you will match, and exceed consumer expectations at every point. Matching expectations is significantly easier for brands that have a strong presence with a set standard of service, but that just does not cut it anymore. Consumers are actively seeking out better experiences, and like we said before, the same old cookie cutter offers and amenities holds no value for them at all.

So how can you direct consumer behavior? By implementing the right tools and technologies, of course. Analytics software is especially potent in this regard. Analytics can help you determine the following things and more:

  1. Customer Demographic
  2. Guest responses to specific services
  3. Consumer interests in the current context
  4. Distribution
  5. Transactional Activity

This means you can identify exactly what the guests like and customize your services accordingly. In fact, personalization is the key to differentiation in an already inundated market. Marketing campaigns also succeed if they're highly segregated and targeted. Even pricing strategies can be manipulated, like the Marriott has been doing. They used analytics and customer feedback to rearrange their rooms according to the type of traveler that would stay there – leisure, business, or even families – where more storage space was provided. They also armed their front desk with smartphones and tablets so that they could know what to expect from customers along with their requirements.

Consumer relationships are also cemented with the help of loyalty programs. However, most hotels do not provide programs that cater to the guest's requirements, because the do not know what in particular will increase retention. With analytics, you can do all this and more, so definitely consider including it in your marketing strategy.

Another thing to examine is split testing – you can use a sandbox to test out your potential campaigns and determine their efficacy before implementing them on a large scale. It always helps to have foresight so that you do not do damage control later – with fora like TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet, even one mistake might dent your reputation considerably.

Getting in Touch, and Extraneous Elements

Any interpersonal relationship requires communication that is open, and transparent. More importantly, it should be consistent. This goes for your customers, too, especially in a service-heavy industry like hospitality.

When you talk communication, you must discuss mobile – because mobile is the most predominant channel that is used today. According to WOW Local Marketing, 52% of customers are less likely to engage with the company because of a bad mobile experience. That's more than half of them, who are probably spreading the word about your ineptitude. Furthermore, 55% of customers focus on your website experience to formulate their views – so scalability for both the mobile and web matter.

Customers would also like more transparent channels to communicate, and will appreciate as little redirection as possible. Remember that time you had to go through at least five representatives to solve a simple query? And remember you frustrated you got, but you had to grit and bear it all the same? Well, do not make your customers go through a similar experience, because you do not want them to take back negative memories of their stay with you.

Empowering your employees with the power to make decisions is something I want to stress on particularly here. The more capable they are when it comes to solving the guest's problems without having to redirect them or seek permission from their bosses, the more assured the guest will be – and will certainly return, owed to the efficiency of your employees.

Communication channels also need to extend to collecting reviews and addressing concerns on the fly. The guest or consumer may provide critical feedback, which you will need to address immediately. If they think their opinions and queries are disappearing into a void, well … that's exactly where your business might be headed too.

Lastly, take a look at your activities in the local community. If you engage in activities that address social issues and give back to the community, the image of your brand is bolstered considerably. The guest will not only look at your brand from a utilitarian perspective, they will also feel better because they chose you, and not another dispassionate establishment that shows no responsibility towards the society at all.

In the end, we all know that strengthening customer relationships is not an overnight activity. It requires patience, timed responses, improvement and an accurate reading of the industry in order to be effective. However, if done right, it can take your brand way beyond the conventional players in the hospitality industry.

Museums like Naval Aviation Museum, Museum of Goa, Houses of Goa Museum, Goa – Chitra, The Archaeological Museum, Big Foot Museum, Gallery Gitanjali, temples like Shantadurga Temple, Mangeshi Temple, Shri Mahalasa Temple, Mahalaxmi Temple and beaches like Sinquerim Beach, Miramar Beach, Dona Paula Beach, Siridao Beach are some of the highlights of Goa not to mention the mouth-watering cuisines it has to offer. My holidays in this part of India are always memorable and with so many itineraries I am assured of getting all needs catered to even when I am traveling with family or friends. Accommodation plays a huge role when it comes to travel and luckily the options are endless here in Goa. I decided to try out the guest houses here in one of my trips and the results were just as fulfilling.

If you are traveling to Goa for the first time and you are considering a guest house stay, you can follow my rules of selecting the best; you can never go wrong when you take the time to look at all aspects that matter. Whether the holiday interests are in North Goa or South Goa, you will have plenty of guest houses to choose from.

  • When I am here, I begin by thinking about the kind of location I want during my stay. The beach is sometimes what I want and then I select guest houses that are near the beach. On trips when I want to get away from all the noise and activities, I look for properties that are set a little further from the centers so I can also enjoy some natural serene surroundings. If an intimate, relaxing holiday is what you are looking for, then guest houses set around nature are the way to go like guest houses near the beaches like Sinquerim Beach, Miramar Beach, Dona Paula Beach, Siridao Beach.
  • The size also matters because it may determine just how many guests I will be sharing the property with so I always look at that. The number of apartments or units may vary from property to another here in Goa, but for me, the fewer the better because it translates into more privacy, calm and quietness when needed. The options are numerous so any kind of traveler will find a size they love the most.
  • A holiday guest house is supposedly to be like a home away from home so checking out the amenities and services provided for does matter to me. I am always hunting for the most comfortable rooms and amazing service delivery. Some of the guest houses here are willing to make adjustments to meet my preferences, but you would have to abide by what you find with some. Goa guest house options are numerous and I search till I get something I am most comfortable with like Gabriel Guest House, Anjunapalms Guest House, Veronica Guest House, Palolem Guest House.
  • Even though security is not really an issue in Goa, I still take the step of finding out how the security is in and around the guest house just to be sure. I want to be sure that help will be handy when I need it the most and that I can relax and enjoy my stay without worrying about invasions or losing any items. It has always helped to find about all security measures the house has in place regardless of where in Goa it is located. There are over 300 guest houses in Goa and you will be able to find one which satisfies your security concerns Some of best are Om Sai Guest House, Bougainvillea Guest House, Pinto Guest House, Evershine Guest house

I love exploring India to find its hidden treasures and it has impressed me every single time. It may not be a very popular holiday destination, but India does have plenty to offer for those who care to stop and experience something different. Shimla is among the spots I have had the pleasure to explore this country. It is in Himachal Pradesh and very popular hill town at that. Indian vacationers love this location probably because of the rich heritage, historical and cultural backgrounds it showcases. Some of the areas that are a must visit here include Observatory Hill, The Ridge, Jakhu Temple, Arki Fort, Himachal State Museum and Hadimba Temple among many others. I just love the architecture behind all these sites.

A day is definitely never enough for me to enjoy all the things Shimla has to offer me and since I always begin by thinking about my accommodation while here. Homestays in Shimla are some of the most rewarding because of comfortable and convenient they are. They are made up of villas, apartments, contemporary houses, farmhouses and cottages. Each of these options has something unique to offer during a stay. To get the best, I start by evaluating what kind of stay I want to enjoy, the number of people I am traveling with, the locations and sites I am interested while visiting Shimla and the amount of money I wish to spend during the vacation.

After I have a clear picture of what my visit to the town should be like, I start looking through the Shimla homestays available for my dates of travel. There are very good online sites with all details I need about the homestays to make my choice according to my preferences. Such information sources have detailed information on the facilities and include pictures of the exteriors and interiors. Using such information, I get to compare homestays in Shimla and choose accordingly. Some of the cheaper homestays options are Sharma Home Stay in Shimla, Aamantran Stays, Rajkumari Amritkaur Guest House.

The location of the homestays, its size, amenities provided for and the rates are some of the things I must look at before making my selection. Even though the holidays are supposed to be about relaxing, I make sure that the property I select has an internet connection so I can stay in touch with those who matter and updated about things that matter. I am also a nature lover and I pay attention to where the accommodation facility is located. Considering that Shimla is surrounded by thick green valleys, pine tree forests that are dense and lofty mountains, I select a homestays offering me some of these magnificent views. like Observatory Hill Guest House.

Amongst the things I love the most about the homestays here is how comfortable they are designed to be. There are cozy sitting areas and very comfortable beds and relaxing bathrooms in most of the facilities. Most also some fully equipped and supplied with personal effects travelers like me may need during the vacation. I do not have to pack up too much of my stuff when going for a homestays vacation in this town. Some famous guesthouses in shimla are Exotic Naturals Guest House, Aapo Aap Home Stay, Shimla Guest House, Kumar Guest House, Chandan Guest house.

Rajasthan’s Luxurious Palaces Turned Into Heritage Hotels

“Providence has created the Maharajas to offer a spectacle to the world,” written Rudyard Kipling, author of 'The Book of the Virgins'. In the year, 1947, the Maharajas of Indian states went out to enjoy Shikar (the art of hunting) in deluxe Rolls Royce, entrusted art, furniture, jewels and the most accredited European companies and practiced hospitality with banquets for their guests. For centuries, they lived in walled fortresses or palaces with terraces and gardens, with separate wings for women and servants.

It is now possible to share this life of refinement with Luxury Hotels in Rajasthan. The Maharajas have opened their palaces, hunting camps and summer residences, whose maintenance and restoration was too cost for them, and live with the guests, with which they share the history of their family. They have changed hedonism for sustainable tourism and eccentricities for the restoration of artistic heritage and worked for the development of the community. In Rajasthan, northeastern India, lies Umaid Bhawan Palace, the sixth largest private residence in the world. Part of this sandstone fort in Jodhpur is a hotel of the prestigious chain Taj Hotels. Decorated in 'art deco' style, it includes ten acres of gardens with peacocks, a museum of the royal family and an underground pool.

Another of the properties of the Maharaja of Jodhpur is Ahhichatragarh Fort, also called Nagaur Fort. After 20 years of restoration work, the hotel Ranvas Nagaur has recovered the sophisticated atmosphere that served as a refuge for the women of the royal family. It is divided into 27 rooms distributed in ten 'havalis,' traditional buildings of Rajasthan, which have their own porticoed courtyard. It is also possible to stay at Royal Tents Nagaur, a camp of luxuriously equipped tents within the fortress of the V century. It is an adventurous place to enjoy the sunset in the jeep chasing gazelles and antelopes around. You can also enjoy your stay in Ahhichatragarh Fort, go for Royal Rajasthan tours and experience the deluxe amenities at their best.

Jaipur (the Pink City) has some of the most sumptuous Rajasthan hotels in the region. Both at Rambagh Palace and at Sukhman Rajmahal Palace there have been world dignitaries such as Jacqueline Kennedy, Queen Elizabeth II or the shah of Iran. The marble stairs, the chandelier rooms and the suites they occupied now welcome less illustrious guests who enjoy the same hospitality of the Maharaja. The stay in the palaces is complete with experiences like pool parties, outdoor dinners, music concerts, and safaris, that allow being part of a lifestyle already disappeared, to feel like the guests of a king. Both the hotels are included in the list of Luxury Hotels in Rajasthan. If you are ready to experience the traditional touch of Royal families, plan your trip to Rajasthan today.

Coorg is a natural beauty and definitely the ideal place for people like me who love rejuvenating and relaxing. The temperatures here are just right through the year, making it one of my best hideaways whenever I need to enjoy myself and at the same time relax from the everyday hustles of this life. It is not a wonder that it is known as India's Scotland, you really can not go wrong while here.

Besides having so many things to see like the waterfalls that are stunning and landscapes that are simply breathtaking and lots of tourist attractions, this beautiful Karnataka hill station offers lots of accommodation options. I love my private space and I am glad that it has all my needs catered for thanks to the numerous Homestays it offers. With so many cottages, farm houses, lavish estates and modern apartments, I get to choose what suits me best. My moods and the kind of experience I want to enjoy pretty much dictate the path that I take with my homestay when here on vacation. But my stay in Coorg homestay is made worthwhile by a few aspects that I always remember to check when choosing my accommodation facility.

  • Location is one of the most important when selecting my vacation property here. Fortunately, there is always something interesting whether I wish to be near a Buddhist Monastery, Virajpet, Badipur or other popular areas like South Coorg Kushal Nagar or Kodagu. The Homestays are spread out through these locations and I only need to decide where I would rather be for the holidays and I am ready to get started.
  • Budget is the next aspect I always consider to get myself a homestay that I am bound to enjoy and afford at the same time. Luckily Coorg also has this catered to whether I am working with a limited budget or I want to spoil myself rotten during my vacation. If I have little to spend for my holidays here, reasonably rated homestays like Shreya, Maduvan, Jagale and Mountain Mist Coffee Valley among a few others always have me covered. These properties have everything a vacationer would wish for and the best part is that I Do not have to spend too much to enjoy Coorg.
  • The views I get to enjoy every morning and evening or any other time of day really matters to me when on any given holiday. This means that I automatically look for a homestay that offers the kind of views that brings a sense of serenity within me. Coorg homestays are strategically placed and I always find something to match my preferences every time. Whether I want to wake up to a beautiful clear sunrise or misty mountains, there is a property to offer me just that here.

Amenities provided for in the homestay also matters to me. I want to be able to make my fresh cup of coffee and probably try out a few local recipes while here and for that I always make sure to select a homestay that has a well-equipped and functional kitchen.
